Lucia V. Torian Music Lesson Scholarship 2021-2022
Application Instructions and Form
A generous donation has been made to support up to two Vassar music students to take a second set of private music lessons (instrument/voice) in the Vassar College Music Department. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior.* You must have taken lessons at Vassar in your freshman and/or sophomore year, and you must be enrolled in lessons for this coming fall.
*Please note that priority will be given to juniors and seniors for this scholarship.
All students will be considered, regardless of financial aid status or major.
- Please fill out the google form by Monday, May 3. 2021. You will be able to go back and edit your submission if you like. Click here to fill out the form.
- Request a letter of recommendation from your current private teacher at Vassar and have it sent to MusicAwards@vassar.edu. (Do this right away!)
- Arrange an audition for the second set of lessons you are interested in studying. Please contact the teacher as soon as possible to arrange an audition by the end of the semester. (Please contact Alix Hoffman if you need help with this at email@example.com.)
The form and the letter of recommendation are due on or before Monday, May 3. 2021. Letters of recommendation should be submitted to MusicAwards@vassar.edu.
Please note: Music lesson scholarships must be paid back by the student if the student drops the lessons or fails the course.
