Vassar College presents the annual “Service of Lessons and Carols” on Sunday, December 4, 2011.

The annual “Service of Lessons and Carols,” a Christmas service of readings, choral anthems, and congregational carols, that culminates in a candle lighting ceremony, will be held at Vassar College in the Vassar Chapel on Sunday, December 4. This popular event, free and open to the public, will begin at 7:00pm. A free will offering will be taken to support Dutchess Outreach of Poughkeepsie, via the college's "Community Works" campaign. The doors will open at 6:30pm, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

In celebration of its 150th anniversary, Vassar College invites the Hudson Valley Community to enjoy "A Day at Vassar," October 15, 2011.

Vassar College, on the occasion of its 150th anniversary, welcomes all members of the Hudson Valley community to spend “A Day at Vassar” on Saturday, October 15. This day-long series of free events will feature a selection of lectures taught by members of the world-renowned Vassar faculty, entertainment, special tours, exhibitions, and more.

2010-11 Vassar Artists in Residence Aaron Fein ’93 and Dahlia Lithwick discuss the world premiere of "White Flags" on view April 24 - 29, 2011.

The outdoor sculpture installation White Flags by Aaron Fein ’93, an artist, architect, and Vassar alumnus, will be on view on the Chapel Lawn from Sunday, April 24, through Friday, April 29. A closing reception with the artist will be held on April 29 from 2:30-4:30pm. Preceding the reception, Fein and his wife, media commentator Dahlia Lithwick will present a panel discussion on the topic of "Creative expression and free speech - What are the boundaries in America today?" at 1:00pm on Friday in Taylor Hall, room 203.

The Vassar College Choir performs Brahms' Requiem in a four-hand version with Todd Crow and Richard Wilson, piano; Courtenay Budd, soprano; and Charles Wesley Evans, baritone, April 3, 2011.

The Vassar College Department of Music spring concert series will present a special program on Sunday, April 3, at 3:00pm. The Vassar College Choir, directed by Christine R. Howlett, will perform the Brahms' Requiem in a four-hand version with Todd Crow and Richard Wilson, piano; Courtenay Budd, soprano; and Charles Wesley Evans, baritone.
