International Chamber Musicians Will Celebrate Dutch Art Exhibit

Combining flute, strings, harpsichord, and voice, the international Bouts Ensemble will perform a program of early classical music at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center of Vassar College. Named for the Dutch painter Dirk Bouts, the chamber music group will help celebrate the opening of “Time and Transformation in Seventeenth-Century Dutch Art,” a major art exhibition opening April 8 at the Art Center.


Honored Vassar Alum Will Discuss "Mind, Brain, and Music" Connection

Pathbreaking psychologist, Tufts University provost, and Vassar College graduate Jamshed Bharucha will discuss the connection of "Mind, Brain & Music" in Sander's Auditorium on the Vassar campus. The Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC) has selected Bharucha for its fourth annual Distinguished Achievement Award, which honors a graduate who has reached the highest level of his or her field of endeavor, while exemplifying the ideals of a liberal arts education.
