January "Modfest" series explores contemporary music, dance, and poetry

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (December 22, 2004) –A combination of eleven performances, workshops, screenings, and discussions will comprise Vassar College's third annual "Modfest," an exploration of the modernist musical, dance, and poetic repertoire, to be held on campus from Friday January 21 through Sunday January 30.

Highlights of the 2005 ModFest will include Aaron Copland's chamber music and dance scores, the electronic music of Bart and Priscilla McLean, an evening of chamber pieces by Vassar composers, as well as works by the Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre, and the festival will culminate in a joint recital by three Vassar voice faculty:
